Now available: Microsoft Machine Learning Library for Apache Spark
The Microsoft Machine Learning library, designed to help data scientists be more productive, is now available for cluster computing system Apache Spark.
The library aims to increase the rate of experimentation and leverage cutting-edge machine learning techniques, including deep learning, on large datasets. It provides simplified, consistent application programming interfaces (APIs) for handling different types of data.
Customers have found Spark to be a powerful platform for building scalable machine learning models, but they often struggle with low-level APIs for certain tasks, write Roope Astala, Microsoft senior program manager, and Sudarshan Raghunathan, Microsoft principal software engineering manager. Microsoft Machine Learning for Apache Spark simplifies many of those tasks, allowing users to be more productive and focus on the data science.
